Subject: Smoker....
Wow what a smoker. This was my first "sell the car, buy a tour book" tour. Simple highlights inside - The lights went out and everyone cleared the chairs from the floor. The Sugaree is one of the best, almost as good as Lake Acid '83. The China/Know you rider transition is one of the best ever. Monster energy.

This is the set of soundboards that have been circulating for about 10 years.

Thanks for the ride to Norfolk Wind Dancer !!!!

Subject: Cameron Indoor
Lots of sweet Jerry tunes here, candyman, IMOBTR,Sugaree etc...Bobby was good Never much a rooster fan, they we overplaying it then, Phil steady and subsonic as ever. , It was a cozy gymnasium atmosphere with tons of local and tour heads outside enjoyimg the fine NC Spring. Mickey was seen at window and the review earlier is true, alot of "miracle tickets" happen that night. I remember how laid back the scene was. Above average first set and decent second set I had an excellent Aud until this SBD.Once again THANKS for the awesome versions of Dead shows on this site!

Subject: my first show
this was it; I was home on spring break from NE boarding school. Beautiful day, we got there about noon smoking huge spleef and immediately encountered sitar music wafting on the spring breeze from a tent full of india cotton breast feeding longhairs. Wandered through camp, absorbed the wondrous scene, scored tix, met the sphinx, filed into Cameron at dusk. Had that "aha!" moment early on (Sugaree?) when the waves hit just right, and I was hooked. Thanx much for loading this here, and God bless!

Subject: Hot Show!!!!
THis was a hot show at Duke. 20,000 outside and room for only 3,000 inside. Phil flipped the kids a backstage pass and the rest is history. Still remember it well. Great prelude to the Scope Auditorium the next day. What a long strange trip it was!

Subject: Brent right, Bob Left ,Jerry center
This is a good reference show especially if you listen with headphones to check the channels. From this show forward, it's Brent right, Bob Left ,Jerry center, if not, the channels may be switched. if you listen to tapes from early than this, you will notice that jerry is right, brent is left and bob is more center. check out 3/14/82 to see what i mean. archive rules !

Subject: the old switcharoo
Worth noting that Jerry and Phil switched sides starting with this show, putting Jerry next to Brent where he would remain thereafter.
